There had been no rain for weeks before the study. The stream was hardly
flowing and had a slight odor.

Evidence of the following animals were
observed: cricket frogs (several live frogs), deer (tracks), raccoon (tracks), beaver (cut trees), several bird species (sighted and heard), crayfish, snails, a
few minnows (shiners).
