MUDSCAPES is a cooperative learning activity designed to demonstrate the complexities of watershed protection.
Participants actively create the watershed in which they will make land use decisions. Each action is discussed as it pertains to short and long term water quality impacts.
Students are encouraged to work together as a "community" to create a holistic plan for the watershed.
To complete the exercise, students share what they have learned and how their watershed decisions impact water quality.
